The View of Ed
As an Emmy winning writer, producer and performer with a background in comedy, Ed is no stranger to talking about himself in the third person. He has written and performed in all media for over fifteen years. On Television, Ed’s highlights include work on The Sopranos and Curb Your Enthusiasm, Just Shoot Me and Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Whose Line Is It Anyway? and Dr. Katz. Most recently he has written for “What Every American Should Know” with Kevin Pollak for The History Channel.
As a producer; Ed has worked on talk/variety shows with Penn & Teller, Donnie & Marie and Howie Mandel. On game shows including Win Ben Stein’s Money and What’s My Line? He was a writer/producer on MTV’s Video Awards and MTV’s Movie Awards. He served as a VP of Development at Fremantle Media and Stun Creative where he devised and managed a think-tank production group known as “Instant Comedy.” The group developed, wrote, performed and produced a new pilot each week.
Ed wrote a feature film, now in development with Norman Steinberg (My Favorite Year, Blazing Saddles) and has punched up a number of films such as Antz and a new project featuring Meg Ryan. He writes book and movie reviews, and is a contributor to books on humor, self-help and sports.
Mr. Crasnick lives with his wife Caryl and daughter Shayna near the sea, where he drinks coffee and worries.
