Ed Crasnick; who the hell is he anyway and what does he want from me?

Ed is no stranger to taking about himself in the third person. He’ll tell you that. I’m—I mean he is an Emmy winning writer for Win Ben Stein’s Money as well as an actor and comedian who was nominated for an Emmy when he guest starred as Woody Allen on “Just Shoot Me.” Most recently he has worked on shows as varied as I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here for NBC, The Kevin Pollak Project for History Channel, Tru Jackson VP on Nickelodeon and Dancing With The Stars on ABC. He has also been seen on The Sopranos, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Ellen and Dr. Katz.

On stage, Ed began performing as a comedian when he still had hair. Currently, he can be seen on stage doing a self help talk/variety show called Ed Crasnick’s Self Help Hootenanny. He’s performed at Caesar’s Palace, The Fillmore and at nightclubs around the country. He toured four years in his one-man show “I’m Not Perfect.” The show received critical acclaim in New York, Boston, Dallas, Seattle, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Ed spent three years as VP of Comedy at Fremantle Media in LA where he created “The Instant Comedy Project” which is a combination comedy think tank and production group. He is currently writing and developing a sitcom with Gina Rugolo and Arleen Sorkin, working with Donny Osmond on a series of comedy videos and a potential TV series. He has co-written a comedy feature with Norman Steinberg, punched up a number of films and is working on several original TV projects with Stun Creative, Omelet Media and DG Entertainment in LA.

As a writer and producer, Ed has worked on sitcoms, sketch, talk, variety and reality programs including: Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Raising Dad, Mad About You, Penn & Teller’s Sin City Spectacular, The Donny & Marie Show, The Howie Mandel Show, GSN Live, AMC’s Behind The Screen, MTV Video and Movie Awards and many others.

Mr. Crasnick lives with his wife Caryl and daughter Shayna near water where he drinks coffee and worries.
